impNERD’s Rant: Addressing Entrecard Rumors
Entrecard experiences a lot of rumors, controversy, and criticism from both former members and current members. Of course, criticism is normal for any site or service, but the controversies and conspiracy theories surrounding Entrecard seem to be what everyone enjoys talking about the most. So, I can’t just ignore these issues.
And apparently, some members are getting fed up with people constantly bashing Entrecard. Gary Hess over at impNERD has spoken out about some Entrecard rumors people have been spreading (and all of them a bit ridiculous).
These rumors are:
- Graham is an Asian woman.
- Graham is racist.
- Entrecard is a Nazi regime.
- Entrecard allows porn ads.
- Entrecard is going to die by June.
Gary goes through each one and logically explains why they aren’t true, actually making some sense.
In my opinion, numbers 1, 2, and 3 are just stupid. Number 4, well, I have seen some inappropriate photos used as Entrecard ads. I just rejected one this morning because it was the top view of a revealing picture of large boobs stuffed in a small bra. I don’t want to see that, and I certainly don’t want to have that showing on my blog all day. As for number 5, it’s May and Entrecard still looks pretty active to me.

Some of the ads can be seen as inappropriate (and I understand why you would) but none are actual porn. Even blogs on EC show pictures like the ones you describe. Actually, I would say almost every celebrity blog does, but showing cleavage-even if it is a lot-doesn’t make it pornography.
I am not saying this against you, I’m just saying it because the rumor is a ridiculous claim. Just because someone thinks something is inappropriate that doesn’t make it pornography or something which should be banned throughout the entire system. If that was the case, there wouldn’t be atheist blogs, christian blogs, gay blogs, or even the sex talk blogs.
Hey impNERD, yeah I wasn’t saying they were ads for porn sites, which they weren’t, I was just pointing out the fact that there are some inappropriate pictures. Sorry I did not make that clear in my post, I do agree with your opinion on the rumor. I have yet to come across a porn site from Entrecard.
I agree with the #4 rumors that there are sites that are not god for posting in in our blog maybe some are putting it but i rejected it most of the time. All of my blog is a family friendly and it is not appropriate to put those almost naked women in my blog. My visitors will not come back if that happen it will ruin my reputation.
