About Adgitize
I gave a brief summary about my experment with Adgitize, but I never really explained what Adgitize was!
Adgitize is really similar to Entrecard. It’s an advertising platform for bloggers. You earn points by doing a variety of things relating to your blog and those points are then converted to cash. The more points you earn, the more money you’ll receive. You can also use Adgitize to advertise your blog on hundreds of other blogs for just $14 for a one month ad. I think this is an extremely cheap price considering how much your ad will be shown.
Like I said, there are a variety of ways to earn points with Adgitize. You can earn 100 points for each day you publish a new post on your blog. You can only do this a max once per day but if you do it everyday, it’ll really add up.
You can also earn points for page views and ad views on your blog. The difference is that the ad views count can be higher if you have more than one Adgitize ad on your blog. So let’s say I’ve received 40 page views today, but my ad views count is 80 because I have two Adgitize ads. The max amount of ads you can show is 10. If you have the max 10 ads on your blog, you’d be earning points for every page view, but x10 for ad views. That’s a lot of points!
Another way to earn points is by clicking on the ads of other blogs. If you see an Adgitize widget on someone’s blog – you’ll earn points for clicking on it (If you’re logged in and a member of course). If you click on all of the available ads, you’ll receive 100 points for that day. The amount of available ads for today was only 84, so getting 100 points for this is easy – and it works similar to dropping an Entrecard on someone’s blog.
Since I’m testing out Adgitize and reporting my findings to you guys, I’ll be talking about it a lot. I hope you don’t mind, as it could result in money for you too if you listen.

This is an excellent article on Adgetize. I am an adgetize user, but I really haven’t been doing what I need to do to maximize it. This was a good kick in blog, to remind me to do better. Concise and well written article I think I may feature your site on my Blogs With Wings blog soon!
Well, that is not exactly how it works. For my ad views points have stayed at 60 for the last several days, with my page views points being at 30, and I have an 8 ad box on display.
I think the points are calculated on some sort of a percentage scale–kinda like grading on a curve, and the same applies to the points that one can accumulate for visiting other member blogs and clicking on an ad in their Adgitize box. For after you see “100″ on the blue bar, which is what color the Adgitize bar becomes after logging on, you will not get any more credit for visiting any more blogs.
In other words, you don’t have to actually visit 100 different blogs to receive 100 click points. In fact, you don’t have to even click on all of the available ads, and this is something that I would like to see changed about the system. For I would think that traffic would be greatly increased for all concerned if one had to at least actually visit 100 different blogs (or sites) to receive 100 points, but it is a very good deal for those who just don’t have the time to do so.
P.S.: I just completed my Adgitize clicking for today, and I reached 100 points after clicking on just 50 ads. There have been some days when it took over 60, and other days when somewhere in the 40’s has been good enough.
@ Joella – Thanks! Glad you liked it.
@ FishHawk – The points for ad views and page views are based on a scale. Sure you don’t get one point for every ad view, but instead maybe one point for every 10 ad views. (Probably wrong but you get the idea) Your ad view points/page view points are nearly the same every day because you get around the same amount of page and ad views each day. In the end, if you have more ads on your blog, you’re increasing the amount of points you CAN earn per day even if it’s not a x10 multiplier.
Oh and one thing I learned with being an advertiser, you only have to click half the amount of available ads.
When I was new in Adgitize, I asked Ken Brown ,I think the CEO of Adgitize of how the money /revenue system is apportioned. He said it’s based on a percentage scale among the revenues also that Adgitize generates. So even if you have high points last month that translates to $5.00 for example, the same number of points allocated on the next month does not translate the same amount of money. The pay-outs for members are determined also on a percentage based on how much Adgitize earns from advertisers. So the best way to earn money from Adgitize is to advertise and recruit other bloggers/website owners to advertise under your affiliate network. Ad views , traffic and posts rake up a little bit of points although they help, but the best way is to generate income from recruits or advertisers.
Yeah that’s a very good point as well. As you can see, I’m trying my best to encourage others to advertise. Honestly, $14 is a great deal for an entire month of advertising across numerous blogs.
I received my “fifth” earnings since I’ve joined Adgitize last year. Bingkee is correct, the amount of money that you can earn depends on the OVERALL activities within the Adgitize network.
If you want to maximize, put 10 ads in your blog, visit 100 blogs (click only 1 ad per blog and 50 visits only for Advertiser), post regularly and lastly, be an Advertiser. Just be an active member, that’s it!
I think it’s worth to try.
This is really useful information as I have been wondering how Adgitize works before joining up. Didn’t want to read up on the general information, wanted some hardcore user reviews on how it is already working for them. Will give it a go. Thanks!
