Our ad spots are finally opening up and with that, I have slashed the ad prices for EntreBlast. There are only 4 sidebar ad spots available and at a great spot right along the content. These ads appear on every page and rotate between the four spots, so everyone receives equal and maximum exposure.

I got up this morning, and as I was doing my usual check on Entrecard, I noticed something different about the Entrecard forums.

The Entrecard forums are finally reopened. Even though they said it was reopened about a week ago, they kind forget a big part of that announcement – the reopening of the Entrecard forums. This was brought up in the technical support forums but it seemed like Phirate and Graham either weren’t online ever or ignored the threads. No one had access to the “open” forum, except the VIPs of course. It was a bit frustrating.

But anyways, now everyone can view most of the forums (except the VIP forum), and since they are a great resource for bloggers in promoting their site and services, you might want to check out the Entrecard forums.

Entrecard experiences a lot of rumors, controversy, and criticism from both former members and current members. Of course, criticism is normal for any site or service, but the controversies and conspiracy theories surrounding Entrecard seem to be what everyone enjoys talking about the most. So, I can’t just ignore these issues.

And apparently, some members are getting fed up with people constantly bashing Entrecard. Gary Hess over at impNERD has spoken out about some Entrecard rumors people have been spreading (and all of them a bit ridiculous).

These rumors are:

1. Graham is an Asian woman.
2. Graham is racist.
3. Entrecard is a Nazi regime.
4. Entrecard allows porn ads.
5. Entrecard is going to die by June.

Gary goes through each one and logically explains why they aren’t true, actually making some sense.

In my opinion, numbers 1, 2, and 3 are just stupid. Number 4, well, I have seen some inappropriate photos used as Entrecard ads. I just rejected one this morning because it was the top view of a revealing picture of large boobs stuffed in a small bra. I don’t want to see that, and I certainly don’t want to have that showing on my blog all day. As for number 5, it’s May and Entrecard still looks pretty active to me.

In the Entrecard forums, well in what little part I can currently view, I came across a link to this post that has a collection of really, really cool RSS Feed icons (and I mean COOL). Some are quirky and cute, and some are sleek and professional.

My favorite one of the lot was probably the toast RSS icon seen below. Anyways, blog branding is important, so check out these awesome RSS feed icons.

As I’m settling in and getting back in the groove of things here at EntreBlast, one feature that I never did was reward my top droppers of every month. So, I’ll start now. Every month my top five droppers will receive a link to their blog in a post. Right now it’s going to be five, but I’ll extend it to ten when the spots are more competitive i.e if more than five spots are dropping every single day.

Welcome to EntreBlast version 2.0! I’ve finally decided to give EntreBlast a little makeover. With this theme, everything seems to be a bit more organized and the look is a lot sleeker and appealing. The last theme was a great, free theme I found but now that I am offering Wordpress theme design services, it only makes sense to show off what I can do!

This also is a little gift to myself to celebrate EntreBlast’s one year anniversary! EntreBlast was launched March 16th, 2008 and we kinda forgot to celebrate it. Now that EntreBlast is alive again, here’s our acknowledgement to it’s one year birthday.
