I must agree with healthy mom about decreasing the amount of drops per day. Sounds to me, he’s thinking about something like Blog explosion. I may be wrong, but that’s my thoughts or possibly require a certain amount of comments. Another change in EC as always, sure to have a few feathers flapping again.

I agree, there are many bloggers who don’t update daily but we go there to check them out and drop cards anyway. That doesn’t mean we don’t interact with the blogger, we just don’t that day because there’s nothing to comment about. Hmm.

I hope they take into consideration some of the points people are pointing out in response to the post. My biggest concern would be for blogs that do not update everyday. If a blog is not updated, there isn’t much to do except for drop and go somewhere else.

In the blog post they said, “We won’t be disclosing exactly the algorithm we use”. Which means they probably won’t reveal much at all about it.

I agree with Metallman. The new policy is actually favorable to us because at least visitors would read our posts but EC should be very clear about the implementation and rules. Plus this would be a whole lot of work for all of us droppers too.

Whatever they do I hope it improves Entrecard! But if they are going to make us interact with the site then the minimum drops should be a lot lower because who has time to interact with 300 blogs a day?

Hey there. I don’t think this new policy is a bad idea… BUT only if the this algorithm is public. I would not leave if Entercard lays down the rules as to what constitutes as a drop, but it’s based on “faith”, how do I know that I am not being cheated of credits? They really need to think this through before implementing it. Later.

If that is true, a lot of people are going to say goodbye to Entrecard. I may be one of them.
