New Entrecard House Ad
While I was browsing through Entrecard blogs today, I noticed something new about the Entrecard house ad. Instead of the plain black image that says ‘Entrecard’ on it, the new house ad looks like this:
This is a definite improvement from the old house ad and will certainly entice visitors who have never heard of Entrecard before to click on it. This ad appears on widgets that don’t have any ads purchased by a user to place on the widget. Of course, if you see this ad, you should check out that person’s Entrecard profile and buy an ad on their site to help them out!

It has been my experience that most of the people displaying the default EC ad are those who are no longer active in the network. They usually have several ads from other members awaiting their approval. Sometimes you will be “helping out” a new member by purchasing an ad, but usually you’ll find that your ad will just sit in their pending approval queue until you get tired of waiting and cancel it.
Interesting. I haven’t seen it yet.
The new Entrecard house ad does not only appear on widgets that don’t have any ads yet.
I was surprised yesterday when it appeared on my site for about 10 minutes. I have an ad running on my site’s widget but the EC house ad just appeared, replacing the running ad. I have 12 ads in queue in my site, all approved and no pending ads.
